Brief tips on assessing a property before purchase.

  • You need a checklist. Don’t be misled by first impressions. You can find templates on the internet or make your own.
  • A professional inspection is required for a structural condition assessment.
  • You would want to know the age of the services such as plumbing and electrical.
  • If you notice anything in particular such as cracks in walls.
  • Check if the decorative condition is high or low — or to your taste.
  • Has there been any major improvements to the property — do you like these improvements?
